finally ... a tooth!

After a few month of the good ol' days of chewing on anything and everything ... we have a tooth! There is just one that broke through the surface so I'm sure we're not out of the woods on the drool and chewing on things, but there is a glimmer of hope! Bay was really concerned because she understood that he had 'broke' his tooth so she's been checking on his tooth all day! :)

Our Baylee Girl

Baylee is my little angel! She is 5 and getting ready to start kindergarten this fall! She loves learning so we are really excited for this upcoming event! She is so creative and loves to cut, color, and glue anything so craft time with me is pretty fun! She's started taking tumbling again this summer and can't wait to start soccer this fall! She loves her little brother and new baby sister and is a great big sister! She is a great example to us all and loves to pray ... her prayers consist of 'all thanks' which is so cute! We love her and her sweet spirit!

Baylee-isms!

Last week while our cousin Meg was staying with us, she would walk around with a paper and pen to write down the funny things the kids would say so we wouldn't forget! She has inspired me to keep better track so here's some classic Baylee ...

3/16/09
Tone was just getting ready to head out the door and Bay asked "where are you going?" he told her he had to run to the dump and then get some beauty bark for the yard and she said "Wow! I've been looking forward to going to the dump, thanks dad for letting me come too!" ... how can you resist that! :)

We were just waking up for the day and laying in bed and Baylee looked at me and said ...
Baylee ... "Mom did you know I have a brother and a sister?"
Me ... "Really? Who's your brother?"
Baylee ... "Boston is!"
Me ... "Oh, well who's your sister?"
Baylee ... "Well you are mom!"
soooo cute!

We were hitting traffic time coming home from Salt Lake the other day and I said under my breath ... 'I hate traffic'. There was silence for a few minutes and then from the back seat I hear a little voice "Mommy, traffic makes me so upset! Does it make you upset too?"

Mimi is in town and she and Baylee were at the mall and Bay asked her "Mimi, do you look like a witch?" Mimi said "No Bay, I'm beautiful." Baylee then gets close to her face and looks her right in the eye and says "Yep, you are beautiful!"

I had a really bad headache last night and was laying down and Baylee comes over and puts her little hands on my face and says "Mom I'm going to take care of you like Charlie takes care of Claire." Sooooo cute! (if you don't watch 'Lost' you might not get that one!)

We were on a walk with Nana and Papa and this is the conversation ...
Mom ... "Bay did you know we get to go to Hannah Montana?"
Bay ... "I love Hannah Montana! Do I get to go too?"
Mom ... "Yep"
Papa ... "You don't really like Hannah Montana, what about Sarah Utah?" ;)
Bay ... "No I don't like Sarah Utah but I really love Hannah Montana sooooo much! huh mom, I love Hannah Montana!" emphasis on soooo ... we all were laughing so hard!

Baylee was eating pudding and decided to share some with Boston. I got a kick out of her ... "Boston open up ... oh Good Boy!" so excited as she said it! I couldn't stop laughing! Minature Mom in the making :)

Baylee... "Mom, does Shaggy and Scooby wear seatbelts?'
Mom... "Of course! We always wear our seatbelts and I'm sure they all do too."
(a minute later)
Baylee... "Mom, actually they really don't."

I keep a bunch of books and crayons in the car for Baylee to be entertained while we run around and today and as I turned around I saw she had pulled out all the books all over the back of the car ... this was the conversation :)
Mom... "Baylee why did you pull out every book?!"
Baylee... "I'm trying to find my ABC coloring"
Mom... "Just ask me then, I know right where that stupid book is without you pulling them all over the car!"
Baylee... "Oh, well where's my stupid book?"
that's what I get!!

Last night we were all watching a little Scooby Doo for Baylee's wind down time and Dad fell asleep (surprise!) by the tv ... anyone who knows Tone understands he is not easily awaken and tonight wasn't any different! I got Baylee upstairs and all she could keep saying was "daddy will be scared alone" and "the witch will get him downstairs, mommy" I tried to comfort her by letting her know that daddy would wake up and be upstairs in a minute and that the witch can't come inside when the security system is on :) She wasn't convinced but I kept trying until somewhere in all the talking, I fell asleep. I woke up about 3:30am and Tone still hadn't made his way upstairs. I looked down at the little made up bed that Baylee uses when she's scared by the side of my bed and Baylee wasn't in it anymore ... I checked her bed too and it was empty. I decided to go check downstairs by Tone and there was Baylee with her blanket, curled up next to him! She wasn't going to let him go it alone! Oh how I love this girl!

I had bent down to put on Baylee's shoes and she took my face in her hands and said "Mom your such a big kid huh?!"
